Finito, I'll ask Tom to share the recipe and observations.

Haven't watched them yet but looking forward to it.

What a shame they wouldn't load in one piece.  I have to say that the cheese looks great too.

John is there anyway this can be collated into one video??

Wow, if he could do that, it would be cool.  My video software doesn't do it.  Thanks!

LL....
GREAT POST!
Also, you have a really nice voice. I couldn't detect an "accent" of any sort.
Now that I mention it, I didn't detect any specific accent when I spoke to Carter either. Maybe it's a Cali thing.
Oh well....as I said, this was a great post that will be really good for those just starting out.
Geat work.

Thanks Dave!  Probably ought to include a recipe though.  Actually it's John's recipe on this site:

https://cheeseforum.org/Recipes/Recipe_Monterey_Jack.htm

Hopefully it will be good!  It's still forming a rind right now.

I got this wonderful vid cam for Xmas, and find all kinds of reasons to use it:

It would be great if we all could video our experiences on this.

Dave we don't have accents in California.

Dave we don't have accents in California.

Further, I'm a military brat, I've lived all over, so I never got anything "regional".

Thanks for the compliment, Dave.

I'm originally from CA, and we pronounce for as "fer".
As in, "fer what?"

LOL

Joy, you're quite welcome. I just call 'em as I see 'em. :-)
I on the other hand have quite an accent.
I might be in Illinois but I'm a long way from Chicago.
Most people that I meet, from the city, ask what part of the south I'm from which always makes me a little self conscience.
I might be from southern Illinois, but I seem to have a northern Kentucky accent.
Oh well, I guess there are worse things in the world.
