Got this hit on Google of Internet Trolls thinking of attacking CFO, please report any inappropriate posts.

Well that was eye opening.  :o   I would never have believed that such existed.

No help really, nothing can do other than just be aware of new members posting junk. And if they do I'll delete their account and all their posts.

Will do as much as I can.  What a bunch of losers!  No wonder the world is such a mess!

I am used to a definition of troll where they post controversial (intentionally) posts which are guaranteed to provoke an arguement....this seems more like some out of place random post not even related to the subject of the forum let alone the thread. Kinda weird really....

This actually happens quite a bit. A seemingly thin allusion to a thread, but a signature that markets something. Or the posting could be a long-winded description of what the spammer wants to sell.

I treat them the same way. Alert the moderator that this post doesn't belong in the forum. John has been very good about wiping them off the system. At any rate, I don't comment or reply to them...except here.  ::)

Let's ferment something!
Bread, beer, wine, cheese...it's all good.

By definition, I think it's tough to really troll a cheese forum.  I mean, how much controversy is there in cheese?
I mean, what are you going to really say that is both on topic and controversial?
"Streptococcus thermophiles are the most overrated cheese cultures!"
"Only morons use Annatto to color their cheddar."

In my opinion, most of the "delete worthy" posts we get here in John's forum are spam, idiots, and the occasional cranky cheese maker.  (Guilty...)

Hey, Wayne, how's the new cheese laboratory coming along?

Room is in, Done.
New vat is 80% done.
Still need a new press.
had to start from scratch.

Tiarella

That sounds exciting.  I hope your are going to post photos.  What will you do for a cheese press?

wharris

Thanks for asking.

Really don't know.  I keep going between a pneumatic press, or a lever press.

Still am not sure.  Will be stainless steel.  That's about all i have worked out.
:D

Huh? I'm lost, what did I miss?

bbracken677

Someone posted a bunch of posts (since removed) that seemed just random posts not cheese related or forum related. The discussion on this thread was more related to those posts or what a troll post is.
