my cheese box

Hi, just a check if this is any good. I bought this container the other day. It's all polypropylene and has a sort of mesh leaving about 4mm separate from the base of the container. Is it good?

I think that it looks very nice. Depending on the humidity you want, the lid should be able to let a little bit of air inside. You can just stick in a little piece of plastic to do that.

My own boxes aren't that nice. :-)

thanks. i'm used to brewing equipment where if it's plastic i tend to freak out about exactly what kind of plastic and if it's food safe. the whole setup was 7 dollars. i'm pretty happy with it. i hope to make my first mesophilic cheese in it soon.

PP and PE are usually food safe. I'm not sure how it is around the world but here in Europe there usually is a symbol showing that it's food safe.

i bought it from a restaurant supply store in korea. things here usually have a lettering or plastic number on them like PP or PET. i feel confident in it. i also plan to use a PP cheese mold like ive been doing
