Title: Street Market Cheesemonger Pictures @ Versailles, France

While recently on holiday in France, I took these pictures of Tuesday morning mostly open air street market in city of Versailles, outside King Louis 14th's Palace, near Paris, France.

Many pictures have several cheeses and camera is high resolution 10 MP, you can click on picture to get larger size images, but full size ones I'll load on website as forum software doesn't like very large picture attachments.

Great great pictures.  I am very jealous.

These pics really reinforce my desire to produce 15"-18" diameter wheels of cheese.

Thanks you two, if you zoom in on pictures you can see lots of details on many types, thought it might give a few of us ideas.

Yep many great looking cheeses . . . so little time . . . and the prices are quit reasonable.

Thanks so much for posting these!  These pix are what brought me to this forum.  And yes...I did zoom in on every pic and scrutinize (AND drool.) 

I have spent some time in Paris and there is a similar farmer's market in the St. Germain de Pres area.  The first time I went, I could not believe all the different kinds of cheese that was available!  I was lucky to happen upon an English ex-pat who spoke my language and took the time to expain each and every one of his offerings.  I bought, "just a few things" to take with us on the train:  2, or 3 cheeses, some beautiful globe grapes, a fresh baguette and a nice bottle of wine...yum!  If you ever get the chance to go...GO!

Oh wow CH, they are truely magnificent.  Problem is you would want to try them all.
