Hey Kathrin, I may be able to find coconut oil at the asian market, I'll look at the supermarket first next time I go.

If I were to try a fig-leaf adorned tomme, how would I do that?  Do I apply the coconut oil as if it were glue, then apply the leaves, then more oil?  Do I have to put the cheese back in the press once the leaves are on there?  You always make such beautiful cheeses.  I have a monterey jack that I didn't do anything to, and have been thinking about doing paprika and olive oil, but the form is already about 3 weeks old, is it too late?
Thanks, Celine

Tiarella

I did some warm coconut oil, then the leaves, then more oil.  I had frozen and thawed the leaves so that they were limp and easier to make flat on the cheese.

It's never too late to do the paprika in my opinion.  It'll still work great!   :D  So glad you're trying this.  Do share photos and results.
