Hi there,

Anyone ever tried to make a Bodenfelder cheese?

I can't find a recipe anywhere...

I have not heard of it, maybe you could describe it a bit more.

Hi Susan,

I don't actually know the cheese myself but my dad keeps talking about it. I only know that it is a "Sauermilchkäse" (sour milk cheese).

I'm sorry that I can't provide more information...

Could it be bottom panels cheese?

This original Hessian cheese is perfect in between for an outdoor picnic, or as a snack. Better known than he is sour milk cheese that tastes great on a fresh buttered bread. It is mostly made of curd cheese and formed into small loaves. For all cheese lovers of bottom panels cheese is a treat!

Bodenfelder Käse.

Hi Flound,

You might be on to something... The Hessian cheese sure looks like the one that I am looking for. Now I just need a recipe... ;-)
