Posting disappears

I just tried to post a new thread and it seems to have disappeared into the ether. I've tried rebooting but no joy. I'll go to bed and see if it's there tomorrow.

I was having issues with my low fat camembert thread also. It didn't seem to like me uploading a particular file. If uploading photos maybe leave them off for the first post. Mine was a largish pdf file from memory.

You were right. I haven't had any problems of this nature up to this point. I posted the text without the two pics and the software accepted the posting immediately. I then opened and modified the posting to attach the two pics. Voilà!

The thing is, I couldn't see the completed posting with that same browser window because it showed a blank screen...as if it went into limbo somewhere. I opened a new browser window and there it was. I don't know why it won't accept attached pics in a posting and why it doesn't "flow through" with the posting.

Boofer and Shane, as we have seen over the years, a reoccurring problem is not large attachments to posts but often some users upload speed being too slow for a large attachment and the software timing out. Can you please provide links and / or names of the files you attached and I will try and find and delete them to see if it resolves the problem, John.

Thanks for that. I'm not fussed about my thread as a new one was subsequently created. You can delete or repair this thread if you like.
