Are there any other reliable companies to get cultures from other than Dansico/Choozit?
They are owned by Dupont!
The same dupont that created agent orange and DDT and PCB's

Don't worry.  They don't put DDT or Agent Orange in their cheese cultures.

A bit of searching on the web pulls up a fair number of alternatives. I know that I've seen products from the first few featured on various home-quantity retail sites, but I hadn't ever seen the the last two in particular - don't know if they are available for home cheese makers.

It is also possible that any of these companies are cross-connected, or more than one may be owned by a holding company, or so on -- I don't have any reason to suspect this, but just saying that it is always possible ...

I believe ArtisanGeek has at least some Sacco products - www.artisangeek.com. Probably others as well, but this is who I have used for several years now.
