Moldy shelving

Just a quick question regarding wood shelves in the cave. I currently have 3 cheeses aging on pine boards in my cave, 1 a natural rind and 2 with coconut oil. The boards have been getting moldy lately. Every couple weeks I wipe them down a bit with a cloth and vinegar. The mold isn't rampant or growing in 3 dimensional ways, but it definitely seems pretty established in some parts of the wood grain.

Is this a problem? Or just part of the territory? If it doesn't bother the cheeses it doesn't bother me, I just wanted to make sure that mold on wooden shelving is normal...

Just depends on the mold type whether or not you want to keep it around. Best way to get rid of it is actually baking soda and water wash them and then leave them in the sun to dry for a couple days The baking soda kills the surface mold and sunlight will take care of the rest.
