Hello from Oregon

Hello,

My name is Garrett Botz and I am a grad student at Oregon State University studying dairy safety and sanitation. I don't study cheese directly, but I still love learning about it.

I've been reading through the posts and I'm very happy to be here on the forum with you all. It is a wealth of knowledge. I especially appreciate all the posts on alpine cheese (my personal favorite).

My family is from Germany so I am also interested in cheeses from the Rheinland and other areas. I make Allgäuer Bergkäse as a hobby but I plan to expand to other cheeses.
