We all owe a huge debt of gratitude to John Pierce who created and ran the website and forum for so many years. It's a treasure-trove of information, one that would be a terrible loss to all cheese makers if it went offline. He requested and I stepped up to take on the website and administer it going forward.

I've just done a big round of spam cleanup, hopefully making the experience better. I have also created a functioning backup of the whole site on my personal server, just in case, so there's some insurance so all of these great posts aren't lost.

Here's to more years of having this resource around for everyone.

I'm dropping a note on reddit.com/cheesemaking about the change as well, and noting that here to prove I am who I am. The username I am using is Tecla_CheeseForum.

A million thanks for picking this up! I had the desire, but absolutely no technical ability to be a website Admin. Thanks again! And John thank you ever so much for all the years of nurturing this along.
Whence come I and whither go I? That is the great unfathomable question, the same for every one of us. Science has no answer to it.

I'm pleased to see the Forum under new management. It was always useful and when I started in 2020 there were lots of experienced contributors. It slowly lost momentum and lots of people disappeared including me eventually. It's still an amazing resource so I wish you well and hope you can inspire people to start posting again.

Nice to see you pop in, broombank! Indeed I'm trying to find ways to revive some activity around here. I'm all ears if you have ideas, of course.
