Chicken LOL!!

Much milder than lamb, the meat is light like pork, and very tender.

Yes I am very senitive and hate to hurt anyones feelings. Sound like a great BBQ meat. Have you ever smoked it?

DeeJay,
It is fantastic meat! Great on the BBQ, roasted or stewed.  Around the world more people eat goat than any other red meat.  I always get inquiries around Easter for kid goats.  We have lucked out lately and have only had one buck in the last 8 births (knock on wood).  Meat is the natural byproduct of the dairy industry that so many people don't like to think about.  I have had the discussion with many people who do not eat meat for ethical reasons, but get much of their protein from cheese, that they are most likely contributing to the meat market with their purchases.

Debi,

Goat meat is available through CT Farm Fresh express so there is at least one farm in CT that sells goat meat.  The order section is down until Saturday but I'll check to see what farm  then if you are interested.  Some of the farms that they get food from are over in your area.

Yes I believe one of the farms down along the coast sell it. Just never got down there to try it. I would imagine it must be leaner as well. I love cheese but I hate to bite in a blob of fat on meat.

That's only one road past where I usually get my Holstein milk when I can't get my Jersey milk. Kewl I will have to give them a call. Thanks! I am very curious - I have been hearing a lot about goats from my forum members from OK and TX. Very popular out there.
