you would do good to keep your pasture shorter than that. you want the cows eating leaves, not stems. leaves are more nutritious. just a thought.
if you have trouble keeping it like that from grazing, consider cutting short hay when it goes to stem, or to flower.
thats also a part of alpine practice we make wildheu out of alpine pasture that grows too tall

I will take note on that, as for the moment I have more pasture than cows and it is indeed getting too big between grazings. and having good hay is always a good thing

PS. I have a friend that is going to Switzerland next week, do you know of any place where I can buy a cow horn trainer harness?
