Hi cheeselovers,

Thought I'd provide a brief intro.

I have lived in Western Australia (The land down under) after emigrating from Holland with family at age 8 (1954) to this wonderful land of opportunity. I'm retired from my job of 30 years as a one man band in the computer industry. Trouble is, I have never needed more hours in a day than now.

Some of the things that fritter away the available hours are: making beer, sausages, growing vegetables, maintaining the gardens, woodworking, completing the woodburning pizza oven, and more.

The recently aquired cheese bug is accompanied by a desire to also learn the art of smoking meats, fish and cheeses, and trying my hand at preserving some of the vegetables I grow.

And when time and seasons permit, my darling wife of 40 years and I go caravanning the great outdoors.

Here's a couple of pics relating to my attempts at making cheese.

I look forward to learning much from your experiences in cheesemaking.
