Dear  all..

Hi there, greeting from Malaysia.. I love cheese and my kids started to like 'em too, thus why not make you own haha.. cheese is not a locally available product, not "our cup of tea" so to speak.. it would be hard to find things to make one here.. most cheese found at the store are imported and I guess trying to make your own cheese would be a challenge..

I was reading here and there all over the net.. on how to make you own cheese and I guess I need a good crowd to help me around since most things googled out brings me here to this forum... so here I am, so many thing to read & learn yaa... currently I am reading the pdf of "Traditional Cheesemaking Manual" by O'Connor & I think I need to pick up a few more books since need to know all the terms, what is what...

Actually, a friend has successfully made cheese using lime but the taste is kind of weird, though..

Anyhow, happy to be here... see you all around..

Selamat Pentang mhazmi from Houston!

My family and I lived in Brunei from 1996-2001 and know the states of Sarawak and Sabah quite well, and have been to KL twice for holiday and course, beautiful country and great people! When we lived there we mostly drank UHT cow's milk as pasteurized milk was sometimes iffy and expensive! FYI there's a topic here on using UHT milk to make cheese.

Lastly, you are I believe our first member in Malaysia, and as I'm also Admin here I've just added you to our list of Member's Locations and added a Malaysia Geographic Board in case you want to post any local type info.

Jumpa Lagi!
