Hey, how's it going? Haven't been on in a while, but I thought I'd show some of the new cheese presses that just went out the door to customers. One is a Double Side by Side 8 inch All Stainless Steel Cheese Press for a Professional Cheese Maker. This picture doesn't do it justice as this picture was taken before the press was taken apart for polishing. The other one is one of my standard 8 inch Cheese Presses for another customer. Be sure to check out the For Sale section on here as I have one of the standard 8 inch Cheese Presses for Sale. I mean those are always for sale, but what's special about this one is that's it's already built and ready to ship and it's discounted because it uses a shorter pneumatic cylinder. It's only 1" shorter than normal and all you have to do is use a block to make up the difference if you're making short cheeses.

Is that base made from plastic or just steel painted in white?

Hey Cartier, long time no see. Presses are looking good. I also built one but couldn't solve the air source problem. I bought a fire extinguisher but just don't know how to convert this into an air can and do the necessary connections (i need to to empty it first of course).  Anyhow, I will find out soon.

Tomer, it is HDPE, a food grade plastic like the cutting boards, only thicker.

Cartierusm

Correct, it's HDPE same as used on cutting boards, but thicker to account for the whimsy of cheese makers.

Is the end support only in the end or all the way to the base?

Gürkan,

If you go to Bunnings, look for an Arlec compressor bottle (or ring the company)..they make an air compressor tank that you fill from your compressor and then carry to the work site. They we about the size of a 9kg gas bottle.

Cheers,
Alan

I am going there this weekend. I will have a look. I need to solve this problem till January at least before I start cheesemaking again.
