Camembert - Different Starter Cultures Discussion

I have frozen whole balls of mozzarella but have not shredded it first.  I know parmesan begins to lose flavor immediately when it is shredded and guess I generalized this to all cheese.  Anyone know if this is true for mozzarella?  Or same difference to freeze it shredded or not? Would be nice to have it ready to go!

I imagine it's true for any cheese - but for me, mozz is so mild anyway that with everything else that's on any given pizza, I don't notice it at all.  Besides, it's well-nigh impossible to grate almost any cheese that's been frozen without having it disintegrate into crumbs, hence my pre-shredding.
