Hi there!

I just baught some cultures for making yoghurt, but there are so many different types. I took the probiotic one. What is the difference
between probiotic & other cultures & why is it a bit more expensive?

Because of the marketing.  Also, it does cost marginally more to produce.

Probiotic contain addition bacterial cultures which are not directly related to the cheesemaking process but are used for proposed health benifits.
Your paying extra for the health factor since the culture costs is a minute factor in the overall manufacturing costs. milk, machinary and workers being the main finantial costs.

Luckily it's not that much more expensive. So I guess the only difference is the health factor?
What about it is so healthy then?

Basically it reinforce the natural bacterium in our digestive tracks.
