I think you will be filling it every hour. Only holds 2.3 oz.

I'm actually planning to drill it and hook it up to a water reservoir outside the fridge.  I'm pretty short on space in my cave so I can't keep a big one in there.

Got humidity up to 82% consistently with this.

I am in the process of setting up a wine cooler aging environment and have had the same issue as OP...My current humidifier does have an on/off switch and doesn't have a "continuous" setting, and once the power has been cut (I use and Inkbird humidity controller) the humidifier will only come by on by manually pushing this button.

It seems the consensus here is that I should get a different humidifier. Before going that route I just wanted to ask if there is any chance that the Inkbird is to blame rather than the humidifier? It is brand new so I would hope not, but just wanted to check

It's the humidifier not the controller. Saw a work around here a while ago but can't find it now. It required opening up the humidifier and using a relay to reset the switch when the power cycled

That was me; I removed the post because it ended up being a bit unreliable and I didn't want others to waste their time trying it.  It worked most of the time, but occasionally the humidifier wouldn't come back on and I couldn't get to the bottom of why.  Someone a little more electronically savvy than me could probably get it to work though.

This is the one I use, in my cave it has now trouble keeping humidity at the 85% I sometimes need and as it floats you can have as large a resevoir as you can fit in your cave, I've managed a week away without drying out.
