Hi, I'm Andi & I have a passionate & sometimes dangerous addiction to cheese anyway I can get it.. So the natural step is to make it, right?
My husband brews delicious beer, we have a sweet herb garden that can cure what ails you, & pretty much try and be as self sufficient as we can be in an urban setting.
My forays into cheese making consist of a few tasty Pannier's & some great yogurt. I'm looking to really dig my teeth (no pun...) into a harder style cheese in small batches.
Hi Andi
Welcome to the forum. You will find plenty here to feed your cheese addiction so get set for a wonderful ride. You will find everyone very generous with information, inspiration and praise.
There seems to be a correlation between cheese enthusiasts and brewers, growers and generally people who prefer the taste of authentic, delicious tasting produce.
Cheers
Sharon
Welcome to the forum, Andi.
Several years ago my wife and I kicked around Port Hueneme & Oxnard. My stepdaughter and her husband live down in Port Hueneme now along Channel Islands Boulevard.
I used to get my raw milk from Lassens in Ventura. Good stuff, but pricey just as it is up here north of you.
Lots of excellent hard cheese choices are available to you. Latch on to some of that sweet, grassfed summer milk while it is still here.
