I am a newbie to the CheeseForum and looking forward to a great learning experience. I have been making small batches of cheese at home for about a year. I am delighted with the results and ready to increase my knowledge and venture into some new cheeses.
Heya bbrown! Am also in North Texas! Am also a cheese newbie but I do love me cheeses! I hope you find the forum as informative and fun as I have! If you have any questions, just ask away!
Welcome to the forum bbrown131211! Happy cheesemaking.
Say you guys, you both have user names starting with bb, then some more letters and then a mystery number. Is that a North Texas thing? Secret code?
haha Not in my case...it's actually just the first part of my email address (not to mention, name). Either that or it's the secret code for the "Texas seceding from the Union Society"!
Our first step in taking over the world is ... Cheese!
Pinky: Gee, Brain, what do you want to do tonight?
Brain: The same thing we do every night, Pinky - try to take over the world!
The Brain: Pinky, are you pondering what I'm pondering?
Pinky: I think so, Brain, but if they called them "sad meals" no one would buy them.
The Brain: Pinky, are you pondering what I'm pondering?
Pinky: I think so, Brain, but where are we going to find a tattoo parlor open at this time of night?
Good question iratherfly. No secret code hidden in my user name, either. I also noticed that we both use animal pictures for our avatars. Does make one wonder. :)
LoL Mary!
The Brain: Pinky, are you pondering what I'm pondering?
Pinky: Um... I think so, Brain, but what if the chicken won't wear the nylons?
LOL back atcha. Sorry, the tattoo parlor one is the only one I actually retained from all those years of slothful adult cartoon-watching, so I have no come-back. ;)
Actually, my favorite quotes are from Steven Wright:
All those who believe in psychokinesis raise my hand.
and of course: The early bird gets the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese. (Always makes me wonder about the early worm, though)
There's something slightly askew here... :-\
Is that right? Texas finally has slipped the sheets? :'(

Wow,

Yeah, that seems about right. ::)

Boofer...I think that was popular in the 80's...I seem to remember watching it with my kids, along with Ren and Stimpy, the Smurfs and the muppet show. Ren and Stimpy was just insane lol
Early 90's, I think - I remember watching it (along with Animaniacs) in the kitchen in old my house, which we didn't buy till 1993. Although they'd been on the air for a least a couple of years by then anyway. Pinky & The Brain was a spinoff from Animaniacs (which I always liked better anyway). I even have the Animaniacs Christmas CD. ;D
hahaha cool!
