My first make with PLA, using Pav's basic tomme recipe in basket molds. I had one on Thanksgiving that was delicious, like a Meunster with a bit of bite. My sweetie wasn't impressed eating it on crackers, but I put it into her egg sandwich the next day (with rind) and she loved it. In the weeks since a greater variety of colors has developed on the second cheese. It's getting good and stinky since I have it in a much smaller minicave that raises the humidity.
Is this the moldy fun I should expect with PLA or have I developed some rogue strains? The side is a bit browner without the flash, but there is bright yellow in the low spots.

Wow! so many colors. looks amazing.
PLA is usually the color of straw. Even if the linens strains start to dominate. You have all sorts of native flora growing on it.
