Is that made up from shingles or siding?
yes AL it's hand cut shingles in the form of TASMANIAN huon pine
Just wanted to make sure they weren't treated shingles. I don't know about Tasmania but here they treat them with arsenic under high pressure. Steam and heat will release it.
no AL , try to use everything a la caveman ,,,,,,,,however there is a treated pine factory about an hours drive from here
i am very lucky ,a retired engineer lives a few paddocks away [ tasmanian way of measuring distance ] , so anything metal
or wood etc appears in a "puff of smoke " ,,,,,,,,,,currently he is making up 2 x rectangular S.S. hoops 100 ml x 150 ml x
10 ml
many regards ,,,,brian

Hey Al,
Whenever I cold smoke my cheese, I never get than nice tan look. In fact there really isn't even much color change, even at long cold smoke. Taste is great. Even tried woods like apple that make my salmon get really dark! Ideas?
Dave
Pretty sure that's a fake tan sprayed on using anatto coloring. O0
