Post by: amiriliano on August 10, 2014, 02:38:32 AM
Hi PA folks - interested in forming a sub group to share resources in our milk and cheese rich state. Who's on here?

Anywhere is fin. I'm in suburban Philly. Would like to connect with cheesemakers in that area + Lancaster county.

Hi There,
I'm From York county---90 miles from Philly-----I too would like to find shareable resources nearby----but unfortunately the farms are rapidly disappearing---thanks to underdevelopment, we are to close to Baltimore-Washington---so far I have found no other cheese nerds in this area to share with, so good luck in your search.

Are you looking for milk sources?

Howdy all. I just moved to Berks County and would be interested in sharing milk and equipment resource information. Right now I'm trying to find a decent sized cheap kettle (~10-30 gallons) so I can do larger make sessions and justify buying bulk milk. Anyone have a good source for grass-fed milk?

Thanks!
-Steve

Welcome, I'm from York County----try www.foodservicewarehouse.com (http://www.foodservicewarehouse.com) they have various size stainless pots at reasonable prices.
