In the past, for homebrewing, for grain/hop bags I've used these large 5-gallon paint strainer nylon bags from Home Depot. Super cheap, durable, washable, re-usable, and seem to stand up to heat pretty well.

I just found a brand new unused one in my homebrewing equipment stash. I'm going to try using this to drain curds, I think. Will post results!
Hey if it can hold hop pellets it should be fine for cheese.
Yep, those work great, especially for the larger batches. The nylon fine strainers from your local homebrew store are great for ricotta and other similar cheeses with small curd.
I've used both butter muslin/fine cheesecloth and the nylon strainers, and I've gotten really fond of the nylon strainers. I have some made into bags from the local homebrew store that stretch over my pots and also do a great job as mold liners
I have a few nylon hop strainer in my brew stash I'll have to try them. Thanks!
