Title: Cheddar tasting
Post by: scasnerkay on February 19, 2015, 04:55:42 AM
I got to share a bit of a cheddar (made in August) with another forum member, Frodage - Jim. He happened to be in the area for work, visiting from Canada. What fun to be able to share experiences and knowledge. I was honored to be able to share a cheese with him. I am really glad he invited himself. If anyone else happens to be in the San Jose area, send a message and lets share cheese!

That looks really good. How did it taste?

You deserve a cheese - both of you!

I can tell you, the cheddar was awesome - true to style. However, you have got to try the 'Sunnyvale Blue'. It's new variety that Susan created.

Yum! I think I need to attempt another cheddar. I've added another cheese to your connection.

The cheese is really good, even though the pressing was not quite hard enough, and consequently there was some wild blue moving in. But really, I think I need to thank the cow. The milk came from a friend's very spoiled Jersey. She is fed beets, pumpkins, and other treats picked fresh from their amazing garden and lots of fresh alfalfa hay. So her milk was lovely, and the cheese is lovely.
Thank you for the thumbs up!
