Title: Difficulty posting images
Post by: scasnerkay on May 09, 2015, 02:30:33 PM
Sometimes I cannot seem to add an image to my message - it just will not post if I include an image. What am I doing wrong? Other times I can add an image fine - but not too many. And I don't understand how some folks add subtitles to their images. Please help this low tech person!

Not sure why you are having problems Susan but I believe the subtitles have to added to the photo prior to posting. Could be wrong though. Attachments are limited to 20 per post but do take a lot of time to load so maybe you're just giving up before they can load?   I know mine take about 5 minutes sometimes.  ::)

Try making your images smaller in size by saving them as jpeg using photoshop or similar.

When I take pictures with my Sony 16.1 megapixel Cyber-shot, the file is larger than 5 megs. The resulting resolution of that picture is larger than I need to display. I use Paintnet to reduce the image size before I post it. I also think renaming the picture I will post helps to tell the story a little better than something like "dsc10234.jpg".

The advent of digital cameras and being able to take multiple shots (to ensure that there's a decent one in the mix) helps me capture the moment. Sometimes it is a little inconvenient when I'm right in the middle of a make, but somehow it seems to work out.
