Title: Hello from Pullman Washington
Post by: millenof6 on March 11, 2016, 09:33:32 PM
My name is Alex and I've been making cheese for almost a year.  I live in Pullman Washington amidst the wheat fields.  My wife and son are obsessed with cheese, as am I.  So this hobby keeps us with some delicious snacks year round.  I've made mostly semi hard cheeses, but I have a port salut and a parmesan in the cave with a bunch of other stuff, but these were the first attempts so we'll see what happens.

I'm a horticulturist with the USDA in seed research and am an avid runner and cyclist.  I'm excited to be a part of this cheese making society.

Welcome to the Forum.  There are several of us here from Washington State - mostly in the greater Seattle area.  Don't be shy about posting, commenting, etc.  It is how this place works.  You'll find that the search function with lead you to some great information posted over the past several years by some real giants of the artisan cheesemaking world.
