A shot of the 9 cheeses I'm serving as appetizer to the Thanksgiving meal (yes, a day late - my family couldn't come until today).
In the center is Double Gloucester, 11 months old (made 12/22/15)
Starting at the 11:00 position, and going clockwise:
Cantal, approximately 18 months old (made 5/27/15)
Lancashire, around 8 weeks old (made 10/1/16)
Caerphilly, coated with olive oil and smoked paprika, around 4 weeks old (made 10/28/16)
Smoked Gouda, about 8 months old, but smoked only about 4 weeks ago (made 3/25/16)
Asiago, about 10 months old (made 1/29/16)
Gruyere, about 6 months old (made 5/20/16)
Emmental, 12 months old (made 11/25/15)
Gorgonzola, about 11.5 months old (made 12/9/15)
That is impressive Andy! Looks, really delicious! 25 more years and I'll make a plate just like that :)

Wow!!! I wish that I could match that... Looks so nice.
Have a cheese...

Great looking cheeses!! I am sure they are all delicious! I hope your family enjoyed them....I sure would have :)
Thanks, all. Everyone seemed to enjoy them all, though only my dad joins me in liking the blues. Now, into the Christmas rush - I will have several of these available for Christmas, plus I'll have some camembries that should be ripe just about the right time for that gathering ...
You're a busy guy, Andy. One of Santa's elves, huh? :)

Making cheese on the weekends is one of my stress-relief necessities! :)
Just started again this past weekend but between making videos for CharGriller and making cheese I have no spare time. LOL It is very relaxing though. ^-^

Yeah, a totally Zen moment....
Be one with the cheese. 8)
Ommmmm....

The downside of making the cheese is that I DO become one with it -- as in, I eat too much of it, and then pay for it at the scales. Sigh ...
I stop eating carbs just so I can eat my cheese whenever and as much as I want...somebody has to eat them ;D
Amen to that!
Are these all cheeses you made yourself?
Yes, all made by yours truly. I try to have a good selection stocked up and ready for the family gatherings, which generally happen mid-summer (family vacation in the mountains), and for Thanksgiving / Christmas. Other times when we have people over, I usually can still muster up 5-7 types, but not usually 11-12 like this.
