Title: Recipe search: bloomy sheep milk
Post by: amiriliano on February 04, 2017, 01:43:27 AM
Hi all-

Looking for a recipe for bloomy rind or something lactic made with sheep milk that I can make for Valentine's in mini heart molds.

Any ideas?

Thanks all!

You can use pretty much any bloomy rind/lactic cheese recipe and substitute sheep's milk for goat/cows milk. I did ash coated Valencay style one time that I normally use goat's milk, but had access to sheep's milk and just substituted. Worked out wonderfully. Here is the recipe I used, just put in the pyramid shaped Valencay mold.  https://www.cheesemaking.com/GoatWithAsh.html (https://www.cheesemaking.com/GoatWithAsh.html)
