Hi,
I'm from sunny Singapore and I absolutely loveee cheese. Anything from cheddar to gouda to blue cheese I love. And i would like to start exploring making it (I don't know if it's even possible in Singapore but I just thought I came and lurk and see) and thought I say hi!
If its not possible to make in Singapore I do get to travel a bit for work (a few months at a time), so if there are short-term cheese making options I would love to explore them too!
I write for expats at https://metroresidences.com/sg/expat-life/ (https://metroresidences.com/sg/expat-life/) , do check it out if you want. (:
Hello and welcome to the Forum. There are many options that you can use to make wonderful cheeses anywhere in the world. All fresh cheeses, cheeses that can be vac packed ( as long as you are at home for a month ).
I think I saw one other person that lives in China that is making cheese so it should not be a problem. I can't remember where on the internet I was read that cheese is hard to find where you live. Is this the case?
I lived in Malaysia for 10 years and made cheese... not a problem. Just watch out for Ultra High Pasteurized Milk. That won't work. I had to buy cultures and rennet mail order from Australia. Here is a company in AU who will ship to SG, no problem. www.littlegreenworkshops.com.au (http://www.littlegreenworkshops.com.au)
Have fun with it, and post your results!
