Title: My first curd cutter
Post by: Drew on January 27, 2019, 04:46:35 AM
So here is my first attempt at making a curd cutter.  I used Bob's layout from here: http://blog.cheesemaking.com/bobs-homemade-curd-cutter-part-2/ (http://blog.cheesemaking.com/bobs-homemade-curd-cutter-part-2/)

The only difference is I welded a crosspiece to add a little more structure to it.  Other than that it is pretty much the same.  The spacing is 1/2 inch.  Please tell me what you think.

Nice job Drew.  AC4U.  I think the cross piece is necessary to keep the main rod from bowing so you can keep it a thin gauge of steel.  I plan on the same thing basically, but I bought some very fine stainless wire to try instead of fishing line.
