Title: Hello from Sonoma County, California
Post by: Dawn.Dolan on October 27, 2020, 12:51:44 AM
Hi All!
I started milking my meat goats (Umm... they are not fans!  8)) three-ish and have transitioned to keeping one Boer and have added Nubians. I love cheese making! It's so satisfying to bring out something and have people say, "You made this??". My favorite's to make right now are brie, valencay, and colby, although I don't have that one down yet.  I fill the freezer with Chevre, so I have that to eat off all winter when I'm not milking!
I'm looking forward to learning a lot on this forum!
Dawn

Hi Dawn,
Your goats are very cute! I'm only a couple hours away from you.  I've been making cheese since March.  Having fun with it. Glad to see another NorCal person on the site.
Welcome!
Jeannie
