The lock down is the reason why I have finally started my journey with 2 bucket list hobbies.
In June I built my first copper still and started to make my own Gin & also made my first Caerphilly.
My alcoholic venture is doing well & I am able get a decent drink without killing myself or blowing up the house & it is time to focus the braincells on the seriously complicated cheese world.
The more I read, the more I realise that it is not at all easy!
Will definitely take baby steps & start with the easier cheeses. Also, I do it as yet have a cheese cave
Welcome to the fold.
Cheese cave = any kind of space that you can control temperature to some extent. Mini-fridge is a good start. Humidity can be controlled via all kinds of methods... Do some searches on this forum and you will find all kinds of ideas.
Welcome to the CheeseForum, Diana.
Cheesemaking can be as simple or as complex as you choose to make it.
It is rewarding whichever end you tackle it from.
Don't forget to post your experiences here, there will always be someone interested in your journey.
Happy cheesemaking from all of us!!
