Hi all,
I have always been interested in cooking for others, though will make odd mixes for myself at times, when I get bored of the normal food. I bought a cheesemaking kit a while ago, but realised there must be more to life than a basic recipe with citric acid! So a month ago, I went on a days course. Started making my own this weekend, though I admit it will be a while before I get it right. One thing I found out though. Cheese moulds are expensive, often small. If any of you know what I mean by salad spinners, the inside makes a good size mould for cheese and are a fraction of the price. I just used the insert basket and have a decent sized blue cheese in there at the moment. Looking forward to doing a Brie style one which is almost the same size as the ones you buy, rather than a small one using a mould which costs more.
I have the cheese bug!!!
