Title: Hello from the Southern Highlands, Australia!
Post by: Jess on March 25, 2022, 03:55:37 AM
Hi all,

I joined the forum at the start of this year, as I've been making Feta and Halloumi from our own goat's milk for a while, and wanted to explore some more cheese recipes.

Ten second bio: we have miniature goats (a breed being established in Australia, blending British Alpine and "Cashgora", I think). We have two does milking right now, last kidded (on the same day!) about 11 months ago. I'm getting about 600 mL of milk per day now, which is still enough to make smaller cheese, but is a bit hard to accumulate enough for hard cheese. The milk is very creamy!

Anyhoo, hello! I've been very grateful for all the information and expertise in this forum, so it's really great to be here.
