Title: Mold For Pressed Cheese - Aluminum?

Is it okay if i use 2 aluminum circular mold and use it as a cheese press?

A cheese press needs to be made of a non-reactive material like stainless steal or plastic. Sorry, aluminum will not work.

Hi Aris, welcome to the forum. I agree with Christy, aluminum and milk and acidity is not a good combination.

If you search the whole forum from the forum homepage on "aluminum" you'll get several similar hits.

That said there are quite a few homemade hoops for pressing cheese on this board, mostly with white PVC pipe . . . should give you several ideas.
