Title: I'm in the Houston area.
Post by: Genevieve on September 23, 2009, 12:59:25 AM
My daughter has a herd of show Dairy goats. I've been making cheese from their milk for about a year. About a month ago, my Jersey cow calved, and I really need to step up my cheese making to every other day since she is producing so much milk.

I'm looking forward to joining the forum, and trying a bunch of new recipes.

You can see pictures of our farm at my kids' website www.dancingdogdairy.com (//http://)

and my daughter's blog www.dancingdogdairy.blogspot.com/ (//http://)

Hello Genevieve, welcome to this forum!

This is a global forum with members all around the world, but small world as I'm in Katy, West Houston. You must be on the outskirts somewhere as I've seen no dairy's in Houston, maybe I haven't been looking enough.

Again welcome!

Hi, John, We are off of 290 in the Hockley/Magnolia area. If you drove by our house, you would probably notice the cow out grazing by the mailbox during the day!

Yep, got it, about 40 miles straight north, I keep meaning to take the family to the Showboat Drive In Thearter (http://www.theshowboatdrivein.com) in Hockley in between us.

If we're ever up that way we'll look out for your cow!
