Title: Home Cheesemaking Podcast - Episode 1
Post by: sputicus on October 27, 2009, 12:27:42 AM
Hi everyone.

I have started a home cheesemaking podcast, and have released the first episode. See below for a description.

I talked with John (the webmaster) about possibly hosting the discussion on the podcast here in CFO, and I don't know if it makes sense. I do know I won't have the time to set up a forum on my web site in the near future. So for now the discussion can happen here in this thread or in the comments on blogspot (http://homecheesemakingpodcast.blogspot.com/).

We are currently setting up a recording session for episode 2 where I want to cover the class I took at OSU called "A Practical Introduction to Cheesemaking," so stay tuned for more episodes.

You can sign up with iTunes or another podcatcher by following the appropriate link on the left hand side of the page at http://homecheesemakingpodcast.blogspot.com (http://homecheesemakingpodcast.blogspot.com)

Episode 1: Making Muenster (http://homecheesemakingpodcast.blogspot.com/2009/10/episode-1-making-muenster.html)

In our first podcast we prove we are real cheesemakers and make a cheese during the podcast. Jeff Cowan joins and helps me make a Muenster styled cheese. We also cover the basics of what it takes to make cheese, and what equipment you need if you are starting out at home.

I did take some video, with the intention of posting it too, but it takes a lot more time to edit video. Well, actually both audio and video editing are very time consuming, especially if you stutter and misspeak as much as I do. The audio just had higher priority for the time being.
