Title: Oaxaca/Asadero Queso - Cancun, Yucatan, Mexico
Post by: Cheese Head on January 10, 2010, 04:25:26 PM
My family and I were on holiday in Yucatan Mexico over Christmas & New Years, saw no cows and no goats and thus local Mayan people eat very little dairy foods or cheese.

But did manage to take these pictures in local large grocery of Oaxaca Cheese originally from Oaxaca State in Mexico and Asadero Cheese (which I understand is the same type of cheese but in brick format).

13 Mexico Peso's = 1 USD.

Did you get to try any of these cheeses? I bought some Oaxaca a few years back and it's string cheese!
