Title: From Grass to Cheese: Documentary Film
Post by: milkmedia on March 05, 2010, 10:45:01 PM
From Grass to Cheese: The Nolan Family Farm (http://www.vimeo.com/9183839)

We are making a documentary film that may interest you.  The film is called From Grass to Cheese and is about a small dairy farm in Ohio that is run by Nick and Celeste Nolan and their five children.  The Nolans have a strong belief that they can use farming to educate consumers about where their food comes from and in doing so build a stronger sense of community. Over the next year we hope to chronicle their first year of cheese production and show how they integrate their philosophy into the family business.
We have launched a Kickstarter campaign to help fund the project and you can learn more about the film on this site:

Love the video. I would love to follow the family through this adventure. That has always been a dream of mine and it is nice to see someone have the guts to go for it. I really identify with him when he said he felt like he was walking with ghosts on the family farm. I feel that way every day I walk to the barn.

Thanks so much for all the interest in our project. The Nolan's farm is in Gallipolis Ohio and they are an amazing family.  We feel that their story is indicative of many family farms and is a very important part of the American landscape. Please spread the word about our project and tell all your friends to visit:
