Last December I threw my 1st cheese party at our house. I made a lot of the cheeses, filled in with some special store bought ones, added some wine, beer, juice and crackers and then asked the guests to each bring something. It was a huge hit! The total cost was low too. I think I spent only $200 for the whole shabang. I'm now thinking about Dec. 2010. Time to start making those aged cheeses. I've got a baby swiss developing now, time to make gouda, bleu, hmmmm...I need a bigger cave.

Go get em Cindy!
I've had a couple of cheese-tastings and they are so much fun! A few I did with cheese-flights, with all of the softer cheeses presented first--then moved onto stronger cheeses. The most recent I did according to country--Italy, France, England, Switzerland and USA. Checked with my local wine-master as to wine accompaniments and sent out a list to invitees for recommendations
Very nice! We didn't do any flights...we just set everything out and let them, "fly solo." ;D
I've been working on my cow's milk cheeses. I need to go visit my goat friends to get some milk and get some goat cheeses going. My cave is getting full...that's a good thing.
