Title: 18 Year old Farmhouse Cheddar
Post by: emilgustafsson on June 30, 2010, 08:43:02 AM
Hello!

I have 3 Farmhouse Cheddar cheeses produced in Dec 1992. 20 kilos each.

Is there anyone who is interested in old cheese? Price?
I can email pictures on request.

/ Emil

18 years? I've very limited in my experience but I cannot imagine such a thing. Given the crunchiness/protein crystals in cheddars I've had at 5 years. I do recall Hooks selling a 15 year that was stored below 40.

Any idea what it's like?

Hi Emil and welcome, interesting subject!

You can attach pictures to posts, there is a How To in the FAQ Board, also how have the cheeses been stored and who made them and for shipping, where in the world are you located?
