Post by: howdahlover on September 18, 2010, 05:54:41 PM
Well hello everyone!!

I'm Anna and I and I am from Dallas!

My interest in cheese is to eat, taste and discover the process of making cheese as much as possible!! I just couldn't figure out how other than to read book and taste cheese! I am hoping with the help of everyone I can learn much more and taste many new cheese!

I have been looking for fellow cheese lovers and I am so happy I have found you all! :D

If anyone from Dallas ever hears of or knows of any type of cheese event going on please please please tell me! I want to be in the cheese loop!

Also any book recommendations!?

Welcome Anna -
If you are just looking to taste the cheese there are a few good books on the market - making them is a whole nother story! Check the book section lots of info there.

Howdy Anna from Houston, welcome, what sort of book are you looking for, about a specific type of cheese or making?

Thank you everyone! :)

I am looking for educational book about cheese.. I am not very interested in making it myself, but I am interested in knowing the process.. Right now I am reading Mastering Cheese by Max McCalman. It is wonderful!

Welcome Anna.

I was just about to recommend Mastering Cheese.  :)
Get their other collaboration too: "The Cheese Plate"

Also try Liz Thorpe's "The Cheese Chronicles". I actually got tired of her prose. Sometimes I felt like I was reading her Facebook page. Still, good information within.
