Title: Seagrass baskets?
Post by: Tea on November 04, 2010, 01:45:04 AM
I found these at our local craft store this week, and thought that they might me good cheese baskets.  I have soaked them a couple of time in hot water with salt, to see how they would wash and it the colour would run.  Some colour did for the first wash, but there doesn't seem to be any leaching out now.

I was thinking that a havarti would be good in these.

What are everyones thoughts.

I was wondering just the other day if something like that would work. Be interesting to here how this works, Tea.

I think your cheeses will end up with a really beautiful pattern on them.  I can't wait to see the photos!
