Title: Molds, Pressed Cheeses - Stackble Recommendations
Post by: steffb503 on December 01, 2010, 08:30:11 PM
I am trying to figure out which ones are best. Any ideas?
I want to make some raw hard cheeses like Colby or cheddar. I would want to stack 2 at a time. I am finding it hard to find the right molds.

Hi Steff.

You probably will not want to hear this :), but from reading this forum it looks like the Kadovas are especially designed for stacking.

linuxboy is putting together a group buy for us, that'll make them a bit more affordable. However, if your time frame is more urgent Glengarry has them available along with one other place I can't recall at the moment.

Those are the ones with lids?
I am confused, how does the cheese on top sit on that lid?
Do You put a follower between each mold? Got a pic?

Here are some threads that should clarify things for you:

https://cheeseforum.org/forum/index.php/topic,530.0.html (https://cheeseforum.org/forum/index.php/topic,530.0.html)

There is, of course, much much more discussion on Kadova in this very forum. If you do a search on Kadova you'll see what I mean.
