Title: Hello from Woodbridge Virginia
Post by: Tod on January 01, 2011, 08:54:01 PM
Hello all, I am new to Cheese making and just found this forum. I have had a good amount of practice at Beer and Wine, but I guess that wasn't enough punishment for the wife, so i decided to try may hand at Cheese. There seem to be a lot of great people in the forum, and good way to solve problems and bounce ideas around.

Howdy Tod, welcome, if you are new to making cheese there are a whole series of Wiki Articles (https://cheeseforum.org/articles/wiki/) on making cheese, also there is a good thread here (https://cheeseforum.org/forum/index.php/topic,3408.0.html) on differences between making cheese, wine, and beer. Also Search tool is useful, there's a How to optimally use it in the FAQ Board.

Have fun with your new hobby, another excuse to buy stuff!

Hi Tod and welcome. At least your wife will have an easier time than mine had. We had to hire a food taster to ensure her safety for the first few makes I did!

Hi Tod, from another new member.  I feel your pain on the "hobby-spouse" stuff.  Having built a monster, 2-tier 1/2 bbl brewery complete with micro lab, thank god my wife loves good beer - and now cheese.

All the best - like you, I've found this site to be a goldmine of helpful people and information.

Hi Tod - if I'd known you were making all that beer when I was still in Alexandria, I would have introduced myself THEN.   ;)
