I have seen some artesian cheeses that have a design eched or endorsed on them (small tommes) does anyone know if this is done in a mould or somehow stamped after the fact. Thanks
There are some members that have made embossed followers (https://cheeseforum.org/forum/index.php/topic,617.0.html). These are used during final press.
Like Wayne has already posted the design is from an embossed follower used during the pressing. You could make your own using a block of HDPE plastic(same material as the white cutting boards that you can buy). The block would have to be thicker Than a standard cutting board to stand up to the pressing and be cut to the surface area of the mould that you are using. Have a look at this web site for HPDE- http://www.tapplastics.com (http://www.tapplastics.com) Then you could trace out a pattern on the surface and mill it out using a Dremel tool to remove the unwanted material leaving your pattern. Obviously you would not need the detailed portion left that raised, just enough to leave your own personalized logo on the wheel.
Thank you both, I appreciate the information.

If you mean this, check out the Italian moulds at Glengarry Cheesemaking Supply.
I must admit, that is a work of art. Is that made in an italian basket style mould or one with a cover to press. I will definately take a look at their moulds. Thanks Brooklyn.
Thanks for the link and directions on using a Dremel to make a design, Zenith. I'm definitely going to go for it. I'm thinking a stylized outline of my cow's face, maybe using the photo that was in the article the paper did on me. Then to make customized molds for soapmaking, as I call that "Buttercup's Cream Soap"!
Welcome Karen, Your logo sounds great!
