Hi Guys !
Yes I read that a long time ago, that it is OK to freeze goat's milk, but it is wrong to do so with cows' milk.
Any idea ? ;)
Many thanks ! :)
Ive frozen raw milk and used it within a week without any issues.
Reason I don't do it is that it's very difficult to get the cream to reincorporate properly after it's been frozen. I can accomplish that well enough for drinkin' milk, but not for cheese, it just creates odd glumps.
There may be other reasons, though, that's just mine. :)
Prompt reply as usual ! This forum is amazing ! :)
Many thanks, George ! ;)
It is possible for some breeds of cow that have smaller fat globules, when you freeze quickly and defrost slowly. Ayeshire milk tends to work better than Jersey, for example. But in general, it is challenging. Easier to do with sheep and goat milk.
I use a Holstein-dutch breed.
Thank you ! You are such kind people ! :)
Bless you all ! ;)
