Title: Valencay cheese big disappointment?, with picture

Hello,

I just bought a pyramid cheese from a store.
I found it very hard the white "ash?" on the outside was very dry.
Overall a big disappointment.
Now my question should this cheese be like this, see picture, or have the store sold me a to old cheese.
Ps. I don't think they kept the cheese refrigerated either. Uncertain of this.

The paste should be soft and creamy,
Return it.

However it is interesting to find out what went wrong since it seems like it dried up.
